The wild rose commonly found in hedgerows throughout the United Kingdom. Flowers start off darker pink, lighting with age with up to 5 petals. Small, single (4-8 petals) flowers on average diameter 1.75", borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer. Armed with prickles, upright. Glossy, dark green foliage. 5 to 9 leaflets. |
