Hydrangea paniculata

 

Late summer when everything else is looking jaded and a bit scruffy Hydrangea Paniculata are looking fantastic. Paniculata flower on the current season’s growth so cut back in February once the dried flower heads have finished and just before new growth emerges. Best in semi-shade use to brighten up a shady corner of the garden and combine with Hosts, Carex evergold, and Rosa iceberg.
